Marin Community Read

Marin Healthy Youth Partnerships is offering a community-wide book read and educational event with David and Nic Sheff, authors of the book High: Everything You Want to Know About Drugs, Alcohol, and Addiction. David Sheff, author of Beautiful Boy (2008), and Nic Sheff, author of Tweak: Growing Up on Methamphetamines (2008), offer this valuable resource for learning about the realities of drugs and alcohol.

  • The book provides reliable information on drugs and alcohol so teens and parents can make educated decisions.

  • This is an opportunity for the community to discuss strategies to deal with stress and pressure on youth and focus on protective factors.

  • Together we can learn from experience and knowledge about the impact of substance use and the unintended consequences.
